San Francisco, CA, May 2, 2005 – Thoughtware Worldwide, LLC, announced today the appointment of Fotios-Michael Siokis, Ph.D., as Managing Director of Thoughtware Worldwide’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Operations.

Guyre, Chief Executive Officer of Thoughtware Worldwide.  “He brings a wealth of knowledge of European markets, a deep understanding of EU finance, and extensive EMEA consulting expertise that will allow Thoughtware Worldwide to better serve the needs of our rapidly expanding global client base.”

Siokis will oversee Thoughtware Worldwide’s EMEA engagements and spearhead its strategic content publications.  He will combine his technology and financial consulting background to help Thoughtware Worldwide’s global customers better understand the value of their investments and translate these findings into actionable insights for customers.

Siokis earned his Ph.D. in Economics from City University of New York.  With a broad career encompassing both academic and business appointments, Siokis frequently publishes articles on the topics of Macroeconomics, Monetary Theory and Policy, and Applied Economics in journals such as International Economics, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, and SPOUDAI Quarterly Review.

Siokis has taught at the university level in both Greece (University of Macedonia and University of Patras) and in the U.S. (Queens College/City University of New York and City College/City University of New York).  His professional responsibilities include positions at AT&T and Alpha Bank.
