Fotios-Michael Siokis, Ph.D., Managing Director, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa)
With a broad career encompassing both academic and business appointments, Fotios brings a Socratic method to his work in helping customers understand the value of their decisions. Fotios has taught at the university level in both Greece (University of Macedonia and University of Patras) and in the US (Queens College/City University of New York and City College/City University of New York), where Fotios earned his Ph.D. in Economics. Fotios is an authority on Macroeconomics, Monetary Theory and Policy and Applied Economics, giving frequent talks and contributing articles to journals such as International Economics, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, and SPOUDAI Quarterly Review, among many others. Fotios has always grounded his research and studies on real-world practicality – having held executive positions with such leading institutions as AT&T and Alpha Bank. Ever the entrepreneur, Fotios was also a founder and board member of A.T.S. Corporation offering VOIP and IT services in Greece. As Managing Director, EMEA for Thoughtware Worldwide, Fotios is responsible for client service in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and for research worldwide, combining his deep financial expertise and ability to communicate the value of investment decisions.
